swapping depthfinders

i have a lowrance x87 on the dash of my boat and a 102c on the bow. can i just swap the two and use each others wireing and transducers , or would that be a problem. i really dont want to switch all the wireing and transsducers. hopeing for an easy way out

Have you checked if the plugs are same ?

I would be willing to bet that they are different transducers, but I might be wrong. I would call Lowrance and ask them. I do know that the transducers are usually pretty specific to the unit.

yep , that would have been a start , the plugs aren't even close. that ends this discussion

They do have adaptors for their units. Go to their HSOforum,you may find what you need.
