charliepete2
I do quite a bit of fishing in the BWCA. I'm constantly having large Northern snatch eater Walleyes from me. In one of my hotspots last year I had a gigantic dog like Pike steal 4 Walleyes off my stringer in about an hours time. I'm not even going to guess how large the fish was except to say that I could see both the head and the tail of it at the same time while it hovered under the center of my Grumman canoe.I dangled every darn lure imaginable at it and it wasn't interested. This year I'm hoping I get my revenge. I've been scouring the internet for lure that looks like a 12-14" Walleye. Does anyone know where I could get something like this? Fish Head
I have to agree with Porterhouse. We have had the same experience with northerns attacking eyes. I put a Joe Bucker depthraider(sucker color) on my son's rod and he caught a 40" northern.Good Lucke!!
DTro
Heck with the pattern. I want a lure that has the same action as a hooked (eater size walleye).
tunrevir
I'd check out the muskie section at your favorite retailer. There is a few lures by Gapen that are called "polish shad" look awfually life like and they put a ton of big fish in my boat on Mille Lacs this past year. Salmo also makes some pretty realistic looking baits that might do the job for you too. The downside is all of those baits cost big dollars! You might want to look into the #18 floating raps, you can always repaint them to walleye specs if you have the right tools!Tunrevir~

Bud
Plant a stinger hook in those walleye tails hanging on the stringer over your canoe. Should be fun..
