The Twin Cities Chapter of Muskies Inc April (April 11th) general meeting will not be held at the usual Knights of Columbus location. This year we will have a pool demo evening at Oak Grove Middle School in Bloomington. Come see some of the newest lures demonstrated in the crystal clear water of a pool. See all the action, how the lures are made to dance and get your blood flowing just a little more for the upcoming season.

Thorne Brothers will be hosting the pool demo. Come see NoBox Lures, True Glide and Musky Innovations amongst others. This is a free event for all, members or not!!

In addition to the poolside lure demo we will also have lure, tackle, rod makers and anything to do with muskie fishing. Outside the pool area you can shop, purchase and get info on them. This is going to be one fun night!!! In some cases you will be able to buy the exact lure you saw demoed in the pool if you liked it.

Doors open at 7pm. Pool demo starts at 7:30pm.

Blowfish,

Just wondering if there is ever a pool demo like this in the north metro area. I live in Lindstrom and Bloomington is a haul. I'ld love to see some demo's. I've gone to a couple of muskie shows last year hoping to see just that. Is this my only chance? Thanks

Rascal,

The North Metro Chapter of MI will be doing the poolside next year most likely in the Fridley area, but the location has not yet been determined. The two Metro area chapters have agreed to alternate hosting it every other year.

Little more info -

Thorne Brothers will be demoing everything they possibly can in about 2 hours. So that's a lot of stuff! LOL

Dunwright Tackle Company will also be on hand, just spoke to him about 20 minutes ago. We are trying to add more mfgs to the event so people can ask lots of questions and have a good time.

Hope to see you all there!

Oh Andrew - your teachers will be there too. I hear they are looking for some homework to be done!

Another update -

Spoke with Gary Heck of Lunker Bait Company.

Gary will be there with baits to sell like his bulger which I swear I saw somewhere last year and looks pretty cool. Anyway he has topwater, gliders, cranks and other things.

Hope to see you there. BTW - Lunker Bair Company is local Minnesota 'basement' bait maker!

Tomorrow is the night - hope everyone that wants to can make it. Sounds like Brett, Jonesi and Luke will be working all the lures, were keeping our chapter biz short and we have some cool vendors coming and some door prizes and raffles as usual. Usually a prize is a Frabill or Beckman Net or maybe a rod and reel combo, lures and DVDs. All depends what out welcome table guy opts to bring that night from the stash of goodies. Fun stuff.

Steve Jonesi, Luke Ronnestrand and myself will be there (as long as Luke can find the place shocked.gif ). Got a box full of all the new stuff for everyone to see in action. Just remember, Luke may be a guide, but he is not a good judge of distance. At the last demo we did for the North Metro Chapter, he just about impaled the current president of the chapter on the other side of the pool blush.gif Don't sit directly in his casting path!

This is also a great way to plan your purchases at our Spring Sale. I hate to keep 'harping' about the Sale, but we have never done anything this big before and I am a little excited (OK, I've been in the store too long and really need to go fishing!!!!!).
