SE MN Streams

Not sure if you meant the catch & release or catch & keep opener. Catch & release opener is April 1st.

I drove across a few streams yesterday and they were slightly high and fairly dirty. They might not have been too dirty to fish, but I couldn't tell from the car as I drove across. The last of the snow is melting and we got a little bit of rain (around .25 inches around much of SE MN). We still have a little frost in the ground so not too much of it is soaking in.

It's supposed to be warm (according to the weather man smirk.gif) so the last of the snow will basically be gone by the weekend. Rain is predicted for later in the week, so the amount of precipitation we get will be the wild card. I'm sure someone on this site will be able to give an update on that as it gets closer.

Or you can check this site for the latest 24hr precip totals around the SE MN area.

Hey Fish_Hunter,

Glad to hear you got out. If you email the pictures, I'll post them for you. We still have to try to get out again soon. Starting this weekend, we won't be limited to only a few streams for catch and release.
