Best Baitcast reel to buy for around 200 dollars... IS????

I think the Shimano Curado or the Quantum Tour series... What do YOU think is the best for that price???

Which baitcast reel would you buy for between 180-240 dollars?

Its really going to depend on what you want to do with that reel. What are you going to be fishing for... I suppose if I had to pick I would choose the Shimano Chronarch. I hgave 4 of them. and love em. I just got a new Curado as well and cant wait to try it.

Quantum as you mentioned also makes a great reel.

Using the reel for, you know, bass fishing with t-rigs, carolina rigging, crankbait fishing.....

Gear ratio of 6 so you know it will be ALL AROUND fishing.... gear ratio of 7 is only good for t-rigging...

I fished the prototype of the new Quantum Burner (TE1170PT)I used it on every application that I normally fished 6.3:1 reels on and found it worked great on all of them. It really shined when it came to picking up line fast while C-rigging or cranking lipless baits.

I guess 200 dollars is too much for most people for a fishing reel lol...

I would go with the Curado, No need to spend another $80. I will be going with the new Citica's that run for $120.

The Abu-Garcia Ambassedeur is a great reel. I got the 6500. They are real durable, my dad still has two of them from his dad too. I think they go for about $60 to $100.
