anybody know if there is anything I can do to make this thing spew a little less oil. I use the standard SM oil and mix 25-1 with regular unleaded. Its a sweet auger and drills awesome. Seems like a lot of oil coming out though.

Alos-Any suggestions for the best 4 wheeler mount, are those tubes any good?

Can't help you much on the spewing oil mine does the same thing always has. As far as the auger mount i use the mad dog yoke mount on the back of my atv they work real well nice and simple and hold the auger great

I have the same auger and had the same problem the first year I used it. I think most of those Tecumseh motors have that issue. I have since switched to different oil at a different mixture. The name of the oil is Amsoil Saber and it is mixed at 100:1 ratio. Now I have very little, if any, oil leakage. It makes things a lot cleaner; not to mention the fact that the auger starts easier in colder weather and runs a lot smoother. I was sold on that oil the first time I used it.

This oil comes in small 1.5 oz packets and is relatively inexpensive. It can, however, be tough to find in stores. I have heard that Fleet Farm carries it occasionally and a few other small engine shops have it from time to time. If you go to Amsoil's HSOforum you can order it straight from them. That's what I did. I ordered 5 packets and they were at my place in a week or two. They're only shipped from Wisconsin.

I think I remember Borch talking about that stuff a long time ago...I will have to order a batch. The 100:1 doesnt hurt it huh..? do you guys use regular or super gas ?

you can really mix the oil at any ratio you want. I mix it at 80:1 for all my motors. Outboard, Auger, weedwacker, chainsaw. Haven't had a problem yet...

Mine was doing the same thing right out of the box. It would also stick/bind when I got to the bottom of the hole. I took it to Big Lake and the guy told me there was a lot of variability with the engines. It turns out the it was running way too rich (oil problem) and I was also lacking about 1000 rpms (binding problem). He fixed it in about 15 minutes and I no longer have either of the problems.
