norma
I plan on stocking a small variety of the flavored baits this year. Any recomendations on which ones seem to be more consistent? Any favorite colors or shapes?
Bobby Bass
I like using the powerworm in grape, green, motor oil and pumpkin seed but I like using the gulps for trailers the 3"pearl white is a favorite. This summer I will be giving the gulp frogs a good testing have some on order now..Of course you will be getting all kinds of advice here, so just go with the one you have confidence with. I still have a ton of floating worms that I bought in bulk a few years ago and they see plenty of action.

norma
Sorry about that northlander. I fish mostly walleye. Favorite lakes are Mille Lacs, Vermillion, White Bear, Leech, Forest and Big Marine. I think I might try the St Croix this year if I can find a place to go. jigginjim
Norma, You may also consider northland mimic minnows. I have had great success wit them. Even better than any of the gurly tails for walleyes. Gulp was my first choice, followed by power bait, than the exude baits. I have found exudes get really slimmy after a while. It is because they are breaking down in water(to give off the sent).
Hoffer
I love the Exude tube baits and swear by them for smallie fishing. in fact, I havent been able to find any of the exude tube baits stcoked in stores like gander and Dick's etc...so when I came accross the posting by Deitz - I was pumped. I went to their HSOforum and ordered 10 different varieties of the exude in preparation for the upcoming season. (I wish I would have known about the 20% discount but oh well!!!). I dont use plastics much for walleyes - except jiggin up in LOW with a twsiter and a minnow - and they all seem to work well - but the exude tubes for smallies are awesome - in fact the slimier they got - I have found the better they are for catching rates - just my humble opinion.
