JohnMickish
Isn't it funny how at Daytona he didn't want to let the 24 pass when the 24 was faster but now at Las Vegas he thinks he has the right of way and that the 5 should have let him go. Talk about a flip flopper. "What I'm upset about is that with 80 laps to go we're sitting there for 15-20 laps behind [busch] trying to get by and he's holding us up for no reason," Stewart said. "With 80 laps to go he's holding us up and we all have another pit stop to make."
eyepatrol
That's par for him. Here's the way he races....everybody needs to get out of my way and the only way you can get by me is to race hard and earn the position because I'm not gonna just let you go by.I think he truly believes that everyone and everything revolves around himself on the track, and if anything happens, it's ALWAYS their fault. Or, he'll just punt at the question and say "it was a racing deal". Stewart is always upset with people on the track, either giving them the bird, bumping & hitting them, shaking his fist out the window at them, or cussing them out over the radio.I think at some point in time, ALMOST every driver shows his whiney side. To be honest, the only one that I don't recall ever acting whiney is Junior. I respect him for that. He just doesn't seem to pout about things, or have these little "hissy fits" about things. He takes it and dishes it like a man.
Sifty
It would seems as if the 20 does no wrong. After the way he acted at Daytona and then the last two races it makes you wonder? Did anyone have track pass and listen in on the race?Sifty
Sifty
Now that I think about this his "just racing stuff cost him about 20 spots.Sifty
Eric Wettschreck
He sure doesn't act like a champion, does he.Seeing him bumb and rub and bump and rub, then fall back and back and back was just what the doctor ordered for him.

snowman678
*Disclaimer: I had money on Kahne,Vickers (longshot I know) & Biffle so my rooting interest wasn't for either the 20 or the 5.* I was at the race & listening on the scanner. It was actually pretty entertaining. I can also say that if I were in the #20 car, the #5 car would have been moved w/ the old chrome horn. I thought Stewart showed a lot of patience in not bumping him out of the way. Busch wasn't just not letting him by, he was pretty blatantly blocking. What truly hurt Stewart though was that his crew continually lost spots on pit road. It looked (to me) for most of the race that he had probably the fastest car, but struggled in traffic with the handling (which he later mentioned on the scanner). I think Busch could have let him go by & would have got past him again on the next pit-stop, which I think is what Stewarts point was. Anyhow I was pleasantly surprised with a good race. I generally hate this type of track & wouldn't have gone had I not had free tickets, but if they were all like this one, I would go again. I just wish it had been longer, because at the end Kahne seemed to be turning the best lap times (according to the scanner) and the 10-1 odds on hime would have been a nice way to recover some of my other losses from the weekend. BigTipUp
Like or hate Tony..... one thing for sure.... he comes to race... If the other 42 cars had drivers that spoke their minds and drove the wheels off every week.... Nascar would once again be fun to watch. Watch Dale Jr.'s show "back in the day" those boys went for the win... not for the points... just for the win... Kind of like Tony.I'm not a Tony fan, but he does race to win.
