'06 clam 2000 is peeing me off!!!

at the beginning of the ice season this year i purchased a clam 2000 at gander mountain for $220. i realized after the second time i used it that i should have bought a trap, but oh well, lesson learned. my problem is with the domed roof, i like the idea, but the tent poles suck and they are a pain in the butt to set-up (the velcro doesn't hold very well) and i want some straight bars across the top. any idea where i can get a couple that would fit the 2000 around St.Paul?

I think that you can buy plastic tube ends through clam and make your own poles from EMT or Alum. tubing. That would probably be your best bet.

Something is not right. The factory poles work fine, all switching to a straight pole is going to do is sag the tarp, collect snow and make noise in the wind along with dripping water on yourself.

Are you using the velcro to hold the poles in place?
