I use it everytime I come up to LOW to fish. Put all your frozen things on the bottom, then wrap the dry ice in newspaper and put it on top. Fill any open space with wadded up newspaper. I do the same thing when I come back home....and everything is still frozen when I get back. I live in St. Louis, MO.

Just don't try and keep your pop/beer cold with it! My buddy had an experience with dry ice on our way to Chamberlain this year. He put plain dry ice in his cooler along with about 30 cans of beer. Well, we were on the interstate and heard POP!.....POP!, POP!, POP!.....POP!...POP! It seriously sounded like the beginning stages of microvave popcorn! What a mess. I still chuckle when I think of that.

Dry Ice will keep frozen any product for many days. Keep your cooler "air tight" full of product and about (15 lbs) per Medium size cooler and it will keep frozen for 3-5 days before need or use...

You can buy it RETAIL from a wholesaler/mfg in Burnsville for .48 p/pound.. Once you go to a retailer your up to $1.00 p/pound minumum and the farther NORTH you go it gets really expensive. There are also two Dry Ice companies in metro on 280/university area and St.Paul highway 52 & Payne ave...
