Cabelas VXR question

I bought the Cabela's VXR this year and have used it 6 times now. Each instance I've been out, there have been times when I'm dropping my jig down that I get I guess what I would call an echo flashing on my screen that goes up from my lure while it decends. It will go all the way to the top, and sometimes there are two lines that will do this.

Do I have my gain turned up too high, could it possibly be an air bubble (wouldn't think so)? Not sure what's going on there.

Any suggestions?

I get the same thing sometimes bass. I am still testing it out but have seen some weird things with it. Have only used like 3 times though.

Sometimes you'll see this for a short time when using any of the super braids. What happens is the line will have tiny air bubbles attached to the line or if its cold frozen water particles. You'll also see something similar when snap the line good on a hook set. Just like a banjo being plucked, your line gives off a quick vibration and you'll see that on the screen.

I don't know what it is, but I see it on my Lowrance X67c, too. I've always assumed it's an air bubble.
