Fishing technique for this weekend?

with the cold weather. the first thing i would do is to make sure to have a bit of anti-freeze on hand. i.e MGD,MGD LITE, BUD, or your favorite. some traction stuff. i.e chips, crackers, cheese, and dip. then i would be sure to make my fishing chair as warm as possible. i.e. chase the cats out. and park my butt in front of the tube to watch the DAYTONA 500 and not worry about freezeing the tips of your fingers,or other things, off while doing crazy stuff like setting up the portable in the kind of dangerous temps and windchills that are predicted. LOL if you do go out be safe and careful but as much as i like to be out there i am gonna opt out. and i will be on ice again before the close of the season. have fun. ..... paul

Quess I am getting a little wimpeee, as I am gonna be hanging out in my nice WARM hobby shop this weekend. Probably re-spool a couple reels, clean up the fishing gear, and get ready for the last and best 5 to 6 weeks of ice. Pretty hard to fish evenings when I know the olympics are showing in the evenings. Finally we are getting some good ice. grin.gif

Yeah, I was going to go out tomorrow morning, but a family friend died this week and her funeral is tomorrow. Probably saving me from some nasty frostbite! Will venture out Sunday.

Downsize would be the key, always seems to elicit more bites during double-barrel cold fronts like these.
