help me out fellas. I have the lowrance h2o that i got last year. i was thinking of the lowrance lms332c for my boat this year but wondering if i should save some coin and get the x102 instead? i think that it would be nice to have the gps built in to the sonar but since i have the handheld i am not sure what to do. anybody have the same problem? thanks in advance....

I have the X100c and the H20 and really like the combo. I fish with a couple of other people and usually use my boat with the H20 on a RAM mount next to the locator. Now if I go with someone in their boat and we find a sweet spot I can pull out the H20 and save it for later. I also ice fish quite a bit and use my Marcum and I have my GPS with all my honey holes with. I can also, with mapcreate, use the GPS for traveling. Another thing I like is having the full screen on the locator up instead of splitting it. For the money I think you can have both the X102 and the H20. The set-up I have works best for me you will have to look at what you do and your needs. I just wish the handhelds had dual chip slots so mapcreate and navionics could be used at the same time. I want the navionics chip because it actually has the most N MN lakes on it from what I've seen, but I may be wrong.

bnbrk94 - It really depends on how much you use your boat, at least that's how I would look at your dilema. I have the LMS-332c and can say that you'd be very happy with the unit. I particularly like the screen size and the color part of the graph. I have it on a RAM mount in my boat and can rotate it around to where ever I am in the boat.

I wanted a graph I'd be happy with and with a GPS unit.

At the time, I ran the Garmin 76MAP unit as well in my boat.

I'm very please with my purchase because I had a older Lowrance and the new color option is well with the $$ in my opinion.

Here's what I could see you doing though....If you are just looking for a graph to locate structure and depth & aren't in your boat a lot during the year, go with the cheaper graph. Then run a H20c unit and you'll have the best of both worlds!

thanks for the replys. i use my h2o alot in the winter for my hotspots and was wondering if that was the way to go for the boat also. i use my boat 2-3 times a week in the summer but i do like that option of taking the handheld with if i go with someone else.... i heard the lithium ion batteries were great in the handheld as battery life has been a issue with my gps.. any idea if that is true.? thanks

look for the highest ma in the rechargeables as their is quite a difference. I put a 12 volt plug-in on my boat and the ATV has one, now to put one on the Snowmobile. I use my boat 3-6 days a week and with it mounted right by the locator no problem. I got my X100C last year on closeout and Cabelas still has them with speed and temp for, I think 350.00 or 375.00. Not bad for a color unit. I really like the color locator just don't want to keep pulling it out for the GPS. Wouldn't one need an extra antenna if you were going to use it in a vehicle? Good luck in your search grin.gif

    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
    • I haven’t done any leaf springs for a long time and I can’t completely see the connections in your pics BUT I I’d be rounding up: PB Blaster, torch, 3 lb hammer, chisel, cut off tool, breaker bar, Jack stands or blocks.   This kind of stuff usually isn’t the easiest.   I would think you would be able to get at what you need by keeping the house up with Jack stands and getting the pressure off that suspension, then attack the hardware.  But again, I don’t feel like I can see everything going on there.
    • reviving an old thread due to running into the same issue with the same year of house. not expecting anything from yetti and I already have replacement parts ordered and on the way.   I am looking for some input or feedback on how to replace the leaf springs themselves.    If I jack the house up and remove the tire, is it possible to pivot the axel assembly low enough to get to the other end of the leaf spring and remove that one bolt?   Or do I have to remove the entire pivot arm to get to it? Then I also have to factor in brake wire as well then. What a mess   My house is currently an hour away from my home at a relatives, going to go back up and look it over again and try to figure out a game plan.           Above pic is with house lowered on ice, the other end of that leaf is what I need to get to.   above pic is side that middle bolt broke and bottom 2 leafs fell out here is other side that didnt break but you can see bottom half of leaf already did but atleast bolt is still in there here is hub assembly in my garage with house lowered and tires off when I put new tires on it a couple months ago. hopefully I can raise house high enough that it can drop down far enough and not snap brake cable there so I can get to that other end of the leaf spring.
    • Chef boyardee pizza from the box!
