I want to get a GPS, I mentioned this at work, and a guy said you need to pay a monthly fee to access satellite signal, is that true? Thanks.

No! Once you buy the GPS there are no additional services fees!

He may have been confusing GPS with Satellite Radio, which does require a monthly fee for the service.

I'd seriously look at the much talked about H2Oc. There is no charge to us a GPS, except batteries.
