I also have a 76 C and the color is what helps me see under adverse conditions. The 76 C has a 128 megs of storage, you can download the whole Minnesota lakemaster on it,the 76 has 28 meg or so and will not hold all of this program. If the price is right I'd say you'll really like the unit.

I have had 4 garmin gps units and this is by far the best so far.But if I was to start over I would go with Lowrance and their chip set up. there is more detail on these chips and the work in all the lowrance units that have chips.you can move them to different units. The chips are cheaper than the software for a Garmin. all the best Metro

I have the Map 76. It is a solid unit. It only has 8 megs of memory so if you get the Lakemaster software on CD for it you have to pick which lakes to upload to it. You can only fish so many lakes at a time. The Lakemaster software is down to $105. You get the 58 high definition ProMaps (with 3 foot contours) and about 600 DNR maps for other lakes
