Need Help with My Otter Cabin

hooksetter

Question

I have an older Otter Medium Sled with a skin made from Otter/Canvas Craft. I just purchased a new skin for it (Otter Cabin) and just realized that my sled is a bit smaller (62" L vs 64" L and 29" W vs 32" W) than the new Otter Medium sleds. Do I need to break down and buy a new sled as well or is there some wiggle room when putting the skin on the sled?

Thanks for the help!

There was a guy at the Ice Show asking the Otter exec the same question. I heard him say it would not fit. And, on my Lodge and Cottage, there was no wiggle room; especially when you're talking inches.

hooksetter-

There are definitely 2 different style of Otter Tubs on the market. Yours sounds to be on of the older Otter tubs. The new ones which have been around for at least 5 years now have Otter II on the side of them. Unfortunately, the skins don't work on both of them. You might even have to get a new pole assembly as well.

I bit the bullet and bought a new sled today. The domino effect continues though - now my seats / brackets do not fit. Oh well. I put the new skin on the new sled tonight and it looks great. Now I'll have to sell the old one as a complete package. Thanks for the input!
