Charging glow lures/jigs....

What works the best (and lasts the longest) for charging lures and jigs? I have tried different things, but think that there must be something better out there that I haven't tried.

Go buy a camera flash. KMart, Waldoworld, wherever....they charge fast and hot.

I really like a highly reflective box. Then put the glow jig in it and flash it with a camera flash. I also know that JR's has a nice led type of light that works good too.

The camera flash works great. I was surprised how bright they glow.

Crappietom - I've been looking for a flasher since my old camera went on the blink. Are they cheap camera's or are they some type of stand alone flash unit. Pardon my ignorance, but I don't like the small LED flashlights for charging.

You can get a stand alone flash unit that runs on 2 AA batteries. I went to a local camera shop and they sell them there. I think they were made to fit on older-style cameras.

Green and Gold is right. They are a flash attachment that has a "shoe" to connect to the camera, runs on a couple AA batts, has an on-off switch along with the discharge button you will use, which will be located near the shoe area. I have seen the things for like 15 bucks at different places, but I think if you hit up a KMart you can locate one.

I know a woman who carries one in her purse. When she leaves work after dark or the mall when shopping after the sun sets she'll have it in her hand switched on and ready to go. If someone approaches her with ill intent they'll get to see lots of stars. lol Harmless, effective, and works good forkeeping thugs away from cuties too.

Tom, I must be doing something wrong, last time I flashed my jig the minnow attached to it laughed at me.

Careful Frank....you may be setting yourself up like I did with Metro. You maybe don't those kinds of secrets out. If you flash a minnow and it laughs, what does your wife do?

I bought a LED light that hooks to your Vex or my case the Lowrance ice machine. It's called a Glow N Go. Like a horseshoe that lights up when it detects a lure in front of it and lights for 10 seconds and then turns off. It has 4 LED's in it. Throw the lure in front of it 2 or 3 times and your good to go. Can get it any outdoor store. That's my 2 cents.

Flashing your jig I don't even want to go there. but I am kind of confused on how the minnow get's involved.
