CALVINIST
Yesterday I fished with an optic-stealth jig tipped with a white or glow Nuggie...I highly recommend this combo for pannies!
Matt Johnson
harvey lee, Now you're going to be using the Thorne Bros Sweet Thing Plus with a spring bobber and the Little Atom Optic Stealth Jig! Next thing I'll see is you wearing a blue jacket with a red vest over the top
harvey lee
Matt: You have to do what you have to do. The big difference is that my blue jacket and red vest will be a bigger size, just as my fish.HeHe
Matt Johnson
The Optic Stealth jigs continue to produce for me. This morning I tried working over my usual shallow water bite, but to no avail. So, I headed out to the break and tried to find the transition... and wham!! The big gills were holding tight to that breakline. They were finicky, but I worked them over the size 10 Optic Stealth jig tipped with a single maggot... They were relating to the bottom in about 17 feet of water. The Optic Stealth jig really allowed me to effectively target these fish. The reason for that is because they are small in profile, yet they drop quite and they have excellent feel in deeper water. Finessing those finicky gills in 17 feet of water was much easier with these heavier jigs. The sensitivity I had was very good. I'm hooked (no pun ) on these Optic Stealth jigs. Great hooking percentage and outstanding action! A few more shots from this morning...
markkstanley
Matt you are killing those of us who actually work for a living. I found some of the Stealths at a local bait shop. Can't wait to give them a whirl.
Tony Boshold
Rick,I'm working on sending some photos over to you Rick. Could you email me again, I can't find that last email you sent and no saved address. I can't seem to PM you either. Thanks in advance Rick.Matt,Nice work, way to stay with them. This is the dog days of winter for many. We actually have some fishable ice, we'll see how it lasts with the rain and snow coming tomorrow. 50+ today.I heard many teams say they were using L-A's plastic's and jigs at the Wisconsin Super Trap Attack. A tough bite is when the plastics excell for us, keying on aggresive biters.Stealth jigs were getting tore up...or, was it the paper mouths? We finished a little over 3 oz. out of the $, but 18 places seperated us from the top 20. A very tight weigh in.Have you ever seen the bigger Crappies suspended under the bottom of the schools? The little buggers were much more aggressive and you had to (try to) drop it past them to get to the bigger Crappies. Not sure why but the smaller fish were pushed higher in the column. I would not over look this theory next time your getting small crappie from the top.Drilling holes away from the crowds and pressure and chasing them with the flasher until we saw them on the screen was the key for many fishers. Kicking open unused holes was another decent option for staying with some fresh not so pressured fish.

tonyjor
These are the pannie jigs I've been looking for! I ordered some of these and I had them in hand two days later. Nice, quality paint(but not on the hole for your line, which is awesome), small profile, and a good weight to get them down the hole fast. Another great sponsor pick-up from FM! Thanks! Little John
I used Optic Stealths and Wolfram jiggs tipped with Nuggies on Lake Simcoe last week and here are the results from less than ideal conditions. My best 15 perch weighed 17#...Need I say more?
Borch
The optic stealth and the Little Atom pastics(especially the nuggies) are quickly becoming one of my go to lures for panfish. They have been very effective for me.
Bob Horn
I just want to remind all the pannie fisherman that the Little-Atom tackle works great in the summer time to. So don't pack away your tackle with your ice gear because you can use it year around.
