Heads Up Trappers!

Recommended Posts

Stumbled across this on the way to something else. Yet another anti-trapping effort, but one directed at Northeastern Minnesota. The first article on the page is interesting, but the letter that follows is nothing short of disturbing.

Does anyone know if MTA follows this kind of thing?

btw, I just read the article in the link and used the option to email my reps and congress people what I think. They make you send a required message before you put in a personal one so I just stated off with dismissing the previous. Fight fire with fire right?

I am sure, they are on this kind of stuff pretty quickly, but they cant do much when u have (Contact US Regarding This Word) leaving out snares and be lazy @@@# It is people like that that ruin a lot of options for all hunting and recreational sports.

The Humane Society wants all sorts of restrictions in Lynx territory right now. A few have been caught and killed and turned in legally to c.o.'s. Accidents do happen, and not all where from slobs. There also was a aricle I heard about in the St. Paul paper. The MTA is fighting this already.

Lynx are very nomadic and wander in and out the state when the hare numbers rise. They are a year behind the cycle. And we have had good hare numbers the last few years. When these hares crash the lynx will move out or starve. It's a proven fact. I say why waste the animal harvest a few. In the 70's we had a season.
