83walleye
They look to be the cat's meow. Are they as nice as I think they'd be? What would be appropriate for my 17' Yarcraft/75 Merc tiller.
Ranckenstuff
The cats meow is right. I run a 16 foot utility boat and I went with the long shaft and 55 pounds thrust. I would go the next step up in thrust if I were you. I purchased mine in January of 04 at the Sports show right when they came out. The only problem I have had is the Directional arrow stuck after 1 season and approximately 50 days on the water. 3 year warranty covered that and my Dad's bud in North Dakota who is a MinnKota repair guy fixed her up real nice. I have used mine alot the past 2 summers and between the Vantage which is the real high price deal, and the vector, there is no trolling motor for the transom that can compete period. Nova
That's good news to me. I just got the 80lb. thrust one for Christmas for my 1890 Warrior tiller. I can't wait to give it a try. The steering is awesome and I realy like the backtroll option.
get-the-net
I got the 3x 74lb thrust for my 17' pro-v and it pulls it around the lake like its a canoe. Long run time and I love the 3x steering.
bnbrk94
I have the vector 3x 70 lb thrust on my 1660 lund pro v. i was thinking about the 55 lb but someone talked me out of it. it is the 24 volt system. i love it. at full speed it will push my boat at 2.5 mph. i recommend it. the vantage would be nice for the extra ching..... jigginjim
I have a Vector 3X 55lbs on my 680t ranger. It works great I use it for holding on small areas when vertical jigging or using a rig at a snails pace. But i have also been able to troll at 2.3 mph for 3hrs. I also have a 55lbs minnetonka with the uni sonar. I run both on the same battery. After a very very hard day using both at the same time it will drian on power, but you really move, at 3.7 mph. If your looking to just slow troll, and hold on a tite drop it is super. I us mine on green lakes in spicer, you won't find harder structure to hold on.My pennys worth. porterhouse
I also have a Vector 3X. I run the 24 volt 65 thrust. I don't use it much but when I do I love it. I have a 18Ft Alumacraft and the Vector has NO problems pushing my tank around.Brian
