P-line Flouroice

Has anyone had any experience with this line yet? How does it spool up? Does it stay soft and have little or no memory like they claim? How about stretch? I'm thinking about buying a spool for jigging for walleyes in clear water, so I thought I'd try and get a little input first.

I put it on two rods this year #3 & #6lb. test. It seems alright, but I would'nt say theres much differance than any other ice lines that I have used. As long as it can catch fish without breaking, and it will do that. Caught a 33" pike on the 6lb test! It seems that you do need to use a little more care when tying knots with it than I did when using mono.

Fluor-ice is great line. I generally pick up the two pound for crappie and the pannies and seldom have any problems with break-offs when those fish are caught. I recently caught a seven pound plus catfish using the #2.

It won't matter what kind of line you use, if you are on open ice and the temps get down there, the line will have memory. Inside a shelter with heat or on days down to about 25 degrees the p-line is wonderful. And knots stay put better than the pure fluoro like Vanish.

The only drawback from the fluoro products is my being able to see them while tying up.

P-Line is on all of my reels. I use the CX version. I use to use the Floroice but changed to CX because it`s thinner. I use 2lb. test and have caught 5lb. pike and smallies of the same size. Great line. I`m wanting to try the new sufix ice magic but can`t find it anywhere.

I pretty much run Floroice on all of my ice rigs. Great feel and the memory is definitely better than most other brands in my opinion. I'll use it from 2 - 10 pound test depending on the species. 2-3 pound test for pannies. 3-4 pound test for perch and largies. 4-6 pound test for 'eyes and smallies. 6-10 pound test for pike, cats, etc...

I love this stuff!!

I run 2lb, 4lb, and 6lb on my various rods and have a few extra spools spooled up as well.

2 pound all the way for general bluegill and crappie fishing. I step up to 4lb for Upper Red Lake because of the pesky walleyes.

I landed a 42" Lake Sturgeon on 6lb Floro Ice a week ago on Lake of the Woods.

Memory hasn't been too big a problem yet.

Good Stuff!!
