lawdog
After watching the games the last few nights, it reminded me why college football is so much more entertaining than the paid mercenaries of the NFL! The games were incredible and the teams and fans were just awesome.Man what a game last night!
Tripleplay
Three straight evenings of great college football! I love the NFL but you can't beat bowl season for a bunch of upsets and close games.Withdrawl starts tonight and it isn't going to get fixed with Dancin with the Stars just cuz Jerry Rice is on it. Lets hope the wildcard games are good this weekend.
Stratosman
Yeah, after watching Vince Young tear up USC, it might make for an interesting first few picks of the draft. Man is he good! I like him over Leinart I think, and maybe Bush too? He is a dual threat for sure.
Windy City Walleye Hunter
I got to say,the combo of the Orange and the Rose Bowls had to be two of the most exciting games to watch with 4 teams that I have no allegiance to. They did remind you of why the college game was invented. Not a whole lot of defense in the Rose but nobody was expecting it, everybody knew that the team with the ball last was probably going to win. Sorry to get all technical on ya Windy, but didn't USC have the ball last? Seriously, though the Jan. 2-4 bowl games I watched were as everyone else said fun and exciting to watch. Granted I didn't plop down and watch every single minute of the games, but what I did see was great to watch. The only down fall of the bowl season is the poor representation by the Big 10. To only win three games was a bit underachieving I thought. Glad to see the Badgers send Barry out with a win though against Auburn.
Windy City Walleye Hunter
DTE,I guess I was reffering to a "quality possession". USC did have a few seconds at the end but nothing to really count. Texas had that "last possession" that I was reffering to with a 4th and 5 when the QB ran it in. It was a heavyweight slugfest at least offensively. Not much defense. But it was entertaining, now I can only wait to see who the Bears next victim will be. Will we be feasting on Panther or slaying the Giant??? GO BEARS! Down to Earth
I know I was just giving you a hard time. Gotta like seeing Carolina coming in to play the Bears. What was it 8 sacks last time against Delhomme? If the 'Skins can beat the 'Hawks again you might be looking at a NFC Championship game at home. From the little I heard it sounds like Rivera interviewed well for St. Louis. If Chicago stays alive, and St. Loius doesn't hire a coach in the near future it looks like he may end up being their guy.
Windy City Walleye Hunter
DTE,Got to be a little worried facing the Panthers again. Beat them pretty good last time. I look for the Bears to add one touchdown to their last game total for a total of 20 pts, but I look for the Panthers to be a little sharper and maybe use Steve Smith a little more. I hope they add 7 or 10 to their total for a final of 20-14 or 20-17. Should be a squeaker, Bears are favored by 3 (just the homefield spread) so the oddsmakers see this as a toss up game. Weather will favor the Panthers, supposed to be in the 50's. Oh for the weather we had vs the Falcons (-10 with the windchill) We shall see. GO BEARS! outdoor ran
Anyone know what the spread on the Rose Bowl was? Someone told me Texas was favored by 7 I thought Usc going into there backyard with a 37 game win streak would be favored.
