I,m thinking of getting the LX5 but I also use my flasher on my bow mount trolling motor during the open water season. My question is does Marcum make a skimmer style transducer for the LX5? Thanks HTB

From the FAQ's section on the MarCum web site...

Can the LX-5 and LX-2 be converted to open water?

Yes, open water kits will be available soon.

I had last year's LX-3. I also had the trolling motor puck for the boat. This transducer will work with the LX-5, but you do not have the 8 degree option.

Like Tim explained, Marcum is working on a transducer for boats for the 8/20 degree transducer for the LX-5.

I wonder if Minnkota will be putting out an adapter for the Marcums for their Universal Sonar trolling motors ?

I believe there was a lot of discussion on this topic this past spring... and the consensus was that Minnkota would not be putting out a adapter cable for the universal sonar trolling motors.
