A good sign for open water fishermen, I just received my DNR watercraft registration renewal notice in the mail today! can't be to much longer till open water..

I hear you Bobby, while I like to fish just about any way I can I started longing for open water when I covered my boat. Christmas wasn't any easier, got the Mac Daddy Leadcore setup and have actually been dreaming of open water since christmas every night (no lie) Spending my days researching tournaments to enter next year and gathering any info I can find. Only to find out our next restaurant opening is May 15th! what a kick in the shorts! Hopefully construction will go as normal and end up a month late (fingers crossed)

Bobby, I see you are from Duluth. Why don't you come try out some of our Hardwater up here in Duluth? It might make your winter go faster? Or maybe hit the shore for some Loopers? Just a thought.

Sounds good Bobby. I know there have been several people fishing the dam at Red Wing on the Mississippi as the water stays open year round and we've been experiencing temps in the 30's for about 2 weeks. Don't know how they are doing but I would imagine its been fairly good.

I was sorry to see our "personal" topic disappear, guess we were taking up too much space or something.

Just think only 135 days till open water walleye fishing.

Foot Lake Iwantobethere is alive and well only they hid it in the outdoor discussion forum. I have not been on here much as my mother passed away right before Christmas.
