make sure you take your time putting it together. go too fast and you'll run the possibility of messing it up. once it is screwed the the sled, that's where it'll stay. when I got my voyager 2 yrs ago, I was popping at the seams to get it together too, but like I said, take your time, follow the directions and make sure it's done right!!! then, heck yeah, lets go fishin'!!!!

I love my voyager, and by all means take the time and screw it to the sled carefully. I used spring clamps to keep the fabric in the right spot. I use mine as a one man most of the time, just because my two sons are too young to head out with me....It makes one heck of a roomy one man house by the way. I have fished 3 guys in it once too. I am loading mine up tonight and heading to Mille Lacs....

I have had my Voyager for the last two years and love it. I always get into the argument with my buddy who has an otter of which shack is better. Rest assured, you have the best shack! I agree, put it together slow. It's worth the extra time. I highly recommend the cover that you can buy. It's $50 and will save your shack. Have fun fishing!

Just brought mine home on Monday and put it together. They told me it would take an hour, but it took me about three. It is pretty easy, but like everyone else said, take your time because you can screw it up. Had it out the last two days and love it. Great purchase!

So how do you people transport your voyager? Do you throw it in the back of the truck and leave the tonneau cover open if you have one or do you put it on a trailer?

Is this a shack that you can haul for about 500 yards or more or it is a shack that you need to drive right to the spot and pull it off the truck and set it up within 10-20 yards of the truck?

I have no ATV or snowmobile and expect to be doing mostly hand pulling if I have to move the shack.

Thanks

this is a shack that you can easily pull as far as you want to. that is the major advantage over the otter. It is light weight yet durable. I'm still pulling mine out by hand and I haul a 3hp auger, minnows, pails, vexilar, camera, heater, lp tanks, tackle, rods.....you get the picture, I have tons of stuff and have no problem loading/unloading or pulling it. it gets tougher with deeper snow, but that's the only difficulty you'll have. Also, I put mine in the back of the truck when pulling it by hand or driving to my spot, or if I have my wheeler, the wheeler goes in the back of the truck and the shack goes on a trailer hitch hauling platform.
