hope everyone had a great x-mas..i sure did..anyways just got back from my week long x-mas hoilday with family...the ice condition is good however there is some slush on the ice but its safe here...be well and FISH ON!!!!!!!!! laugh.giflaugh.gif

Just got back from Morson. Ice to the west is about 14 inches thick (definitely not 20 inches as some have said) with 4-10 inches of snow on top in some areas.

We had no water and no slush at all west of Morson, but Sabaskong is supposidly very bad. Saw slush on other lakes going up and back too, lots of water on the ice in some areas.

Walleyes bit well in about 15 feet of water off the reefs.

Good fishing.

Can I call you CH for short? Sorry I missed your post last friday morning. I would have been nice to hook up with someone who knows the area as we are new to your neck of the lake of the woods. Mabey we saw you out there last weekend? I will shoot you an email in the next couple days.
