A Few Bad Apples

jig n' jerk

I was out on a little lake that I like to fish out in the St. Cloud area on Monday and ran into some inconsiderate NiceGuys while walking to my spot. When approching them I asked how they were doing only to get no response and have them stare at me as I passed. My friend asked if all the beer cans(approx. two cases of emptys) and the six tip-ups were theirs(only two pwople).Once again no response! Well we kept on to our spot and ended up catching over 40 crappies in the 10-12 inch size. So the fishing was some of the best I have had, ever! Well when we got back to our truck they decided to pour all of the empty beer cans all over my buddies tonuea (sp?) cover and Hood and leave an empty case on his antenea(sp?). Well I guess that it is better that they didn't leave the cans on the ice. Needless to say we picked up all the cans and brought them home to recycle them. But keep an eye out for these (Contact US Regarding This Word) and let them know that those kinds of actions are not tolerated by most ice fisherman!!! They have a clam 5600 and will probably have more tip-ups out then allowed. By the way they drive a late 90's model chevy/GMC pick-up that is BRIGHT yellow. Sorry but I just had to vent. It is amazing how rude and ignorant some people can be. I hope that I get "the pleasure" to run into them another time this year so I can tell them how I really feel about the matter(no talking needed!).

Thanks who ever posted the CO #, just got done putting the in my cell phone. There is no reason that when we say something or see things that are not right that we have to look like a bad guy. Let the CO taks care of it.. grin.gif

I like to page through the rule book when I'm "in disposed" and I came across the TIP subject recently. It sounded like there were possible rewards for turning in law breakers. That's interesting. Not that I'd turn someone in for a prize...I'd just turn them in for breaking the law...but I was just curious if anyone has heard of the DNR giving out rewards?

the positive of that situation is that since most outdoorsman are such good people that the tew "dorks" stand out like sore thumbs (whether in yellow trucks or not). I guarantee that they'll get what's coming to them. I seem to get checked 2-4 times per year by CO's and they will too. Hopefully they will learn and come around to the good side.
