Putting ice ducer back in LX5

Had trouble putting puck away (and getting it out) so I took the four bolts out of the bracket that holds the flasher and used the slotted space inbetween the bolt holes and using only two of the bolts slid the bracket back about 1/2 inch. Now everything works perfect.

Great idea! I use a Vex float with my LX3's ducer and things get pretty tight inside that bag. This should give me a little more room.

Tried that but after doing it I moved it back I think it puts to much of a kink on the Transducer cord and maybe from all the transporting might cause damage to it. Sure would hate to be on LOW or some place I find the cord got damaged and it won't work. Good Luck

I was playing with my new LX5 last night and figured out if you just tilt the head unit upwards even just an inch, the ducer goes right in and out.

The manual tells you tilt the head up for easy access if I recall. Thats what I do but thought maybe they had something there.I leave the nuts on the head loose enough for moving it easily for viewing anyway.

I do the same, just tilt the head up a bit and it drops right in. I guess I didn't find it that big of a deal.

Took it out yesterday after moving the display back and it worked great. Thought the display might be blocked by the bag but its not and the unit still pivots with ease without rubbing on the battery. Very easy to get the puck in and out now.
