Scoot
What's the best rain gear for the money? I've got a nice set that has gotten old and I'm thinking about replacing it. However, I don't want to dump a bunch of money into it. I'd like something light and for use in the heat of the summer.------------------ScootRodsbyEngel: custom made fishing rods
0 vikes40for60
I am a tightwad and $200-$300 for a rainsuit in my mind is out of the questions.Last year at the boat show I bought a Stearns setup for $95 from Reed Sports. Jacket and bibs. Used in canada and in some bad weather, I stayed dry and warm. Someone once told me Stearns is the manufacturer of the Cabelas Guidewear. I dont know if there is truth to that? 0 Lost
I just received a rainsuit (jacket and pants) through North American Fishing Club. They are amazingly lightweight and I get to test them out for a month. They even said to put them on as soon as I received them, jump in the shower, and test them out. I did just that and stayed dryer than a bone. And they're only costing me $80. They also come with a handy little carrying bag.

0 EBass
I'm going to Canada in June and need some rain gear to. I've heard about Frogg Toggs but where do they sell them here? [This message has been edited by EBass (edited 05-06-2004).]
0 cmherrmann
You can find Frogg Toogs on hsolist or go directly to their HSOforumhttp://www.froggtoggs.comI have read reviews all over the net and for the price the only thing I could find wrong with the Frogg Toggs is the hood limits your view and doesn't stay put when windy. I'm going to buy a set.
0 MIDNIGHT777
The Gander Mountain Tech2o rain gear is fantastic. I cannot say enough good things about it. Completely waterproof and breathable. I have put it to the test a couple times and it works great. Matt

0 Swamp Scooter
I picked up some inexpensive($20) set of bibs and raincoat at the Sports show. They are th eReliable ones that are the rubber. They last for years, pack well, and I like the bib over the pants. Nothing fancy but very durable when you need it. They are heavy enough to keep you warm underneath too in windMy .02 for a cheap alternative.

0 otterman
If you want to spend the money, the Gander Mnt. H2O series is very nice. It cost about 250-300, but it breaths good and fits nice. In my opinion I don't think I would buy anything else.OTTERMAN
