Frist Layer

Recommended Posts

I pretty much have my standard ice uniform. It varies a bit depending on the temp. My question is does anyone have a favorite first layer. There is so much new Ice Armor etc out there and most and a pretty high price point. I was looking at picking up something. Any feedback on what you find to be your go to first layer for fighting the cold and also allowing you to breath.

Any type of polypropylene under ware should suffice you want something that will wick away the moisture from your skin

Ditto here. You don't need to spend a fortune. All the under armour stuff is great but any polypropolene or moisture wicking layer is going to work well. Silk is another one that suposidly wicks well (although I've not used silk) And there are many variations. I'm as happy with my el cheapo brand polypropolene as I am with my spendy Pattagonia poly.
