How Hunting Becomes a Family Tradition

Believe it or not there are actually 3 people in this photo! The woman on the right is expecting. I guess if you want to shoot a nice buck you have to be pregnant. The funny thing is her husband shot a excellent buck the day before. (It probably was good thing he shot it instead of me or our party might have really been woundering.) wink.gif

Way to go Tim and Sara!

The other woman in the photo is my wife Joni. Her deer was very special to us for the simple fact that it was her first deer. Actually, it was her first anything since she just started hunting this year. Opening day she passed up a small 3x3 with hopes of either a larger one or a doe. When I asked her if she wanted to shoot it she replied "I would rather just shoot a doe and give this one a chance to grow up". She ended up getting her shot.

Way to go Joni!

You are prabably woundering where the picture of me is. I choose not to answer that confused.gif as I did not shoot a buck but did end up filling my tags with does.

It was just plain fun to get away and hunt for the weekend.

Wow, that is a great picture Walerak! I'm finally recovered from our deer trip. We ended up with 5 bucks and 4 does, but I never tagged the big one I was looking for. Another guy in the group shot a big 5x5 though!

We had a great time! It looks like you did too!

I was at my buddies house last night when we caught word of a big buck that had been shot just outside of town. He just happened to bring it over for us to see, I thought I would share it with the fellow FMers as well.

Here is Brian Nelson of Arlington with his 5x7 trophy.
