Anyone used the boot blankets?

Kinda checking out the boot blankets such as the Icebreakers - anyone used them yet? I like the idea of wearing my leather hunting boots AND staying warm in the stand and then being able to take off the boot blankets for deer drives/walking without clomping around in the Icemans.

I've got a set, they are nice and warm, the thing I don't like about them is that they're slippery as $hit when you have frost or snow on your stand, consequently the only time I've used them is on ground stands. Since I got my Ice King boots I wear those for cold deer hunting and the boot blankets ride around in the car as part of my survival clothes. In fact, they just got thrown into the car with my insulated coveralls this morning when I was the 4 degree temp.

I currently use Ice Kings but I have a pair of the boot blankets that I have used in the past. What I found to work the best for me was to carry them out to the stand in a backpack, when I get to the stand, I remove my boots and put on a pair of felt liners and then put the boot blankets over them. It's like wearing bedroom slippers and you don't get snow and or dirt inside the boot blankets.

I also have a pair and they are awsome! You are right about them being slippery so i always put them on once i am in the stand. The nice thing is if your boot gets wet on the outside it dosn't freeze when you have the blankets on.

Before I had good boots I used them a lot. Toss a couple of those heat packs in there and you're good to go.

I like using them. Adding heat packs really works well but it's not necessary most days for me. I prefer light boots for walking in and just backpack the boot blankets. I have big pack boots that keep my feet warm no matter what, but I prefer the blanket/light boot combo.
