I have read a lot of your comments on the Nils augers and im thinking the Nils is the auger I will buy, but I was wondering about warrenty or repair issues. With Strikemaster and Jiffy being local I feel I will get more support if something goes wrong. How do Nils handle repair/ warrenty issues....I cant even seem to find a HSOforum for them ?? Anyway looking forward to reading your replys.

Nils Master has a 2 year warrenty on the motor and auger bit (Not on the blade) and a 5 year on the ignition for the motor. All issues with the blades and auger bit are handled through Nils Master USA. All motor issues are handled at your local Tanaka dealers. This way no matter where you live you can get local support with any motor issue that you may have. If you want to find your local Tanaka Dealer/ Repair shop, click on this LINK and and enter your zipcode in the box.

superbowlhoemboy,

You will be pleased with the Nils auger. I am.

Just be careful about buying a floor model (I bought one). People dropping it on the concrete floor or ICE for that matter, can cause angle of the cutting edges to become bent. As far as cutomer service, JP from Nils Master will treat you right. He sent me a new cutting head, with return postage paid for the damaged one I had. smile.gif

If taken care of, the Nils will last many years without any issues (even blade shapening / replacing).

later,
