Neutering your pup?

I'm going to get a britany pup soon and was wondering if I should neuter him. Does neutering make him less active at hunting? Any advice would help.

I have a Black Lab that is Neutered. He is no less active than any other dog I have seen. He is a great hunter and I don't know if he still had his equipment if it would be any different.

Shouldn't affect the dog....he'll be just as wound up as the rest of them when its time to have fun. And there are PLENTY of dogs in the world the way it is so I don't reckon you'll want to add to the problem.

Of course he might bark more like a sopranno now... NO NO...just a joke. Acually he'll bark like a contralto.! HA!!

Unless you have one spectacular animal and plan on using him as a stud dog I would most certianly get him fixed. Along with the population problem there are many benefits to nuetering an animal. Testicular cancer is a major cause of deaths in male dogs, and nuetered dogs are not going to leave the yard, field, truck, boat, helicopter ect. if they smell a female in heat...
