hoggs222
I'm looking at purchasing a stove/oven for our 6.5x12' fish house. I am looking at the one at cabelas, mainly because of the size and it's only $200. Has anybody used this? Is it big enough for a pizza? a pan of lasagna? It's the stainless steel one with 2 burners & an oven. I can't post a link here, but here is the description. Outback Camping Products Stainless Steel Stove/Oven With a spacious oven and twin upper burners, this propane-fueled Camp Stove/Oven offers the cooking convenience of your home kitchen. The oven produces 3,500 BTUs for temperatures up to 480°F. Burners are rated at 5,300 BTUs. And its compact size (12"W x 21"L x 16"H) makes it ideal for use in camps, cabins, RVs and even at home. Includes an automatic gas shut-off control. The top cooking surface is covered in non-stick enamel. The exterior is stainless steel, while the interior is finished with high-temperature porcelain. An oven thermometer is included. It uses a low-pressure regulator assembly for use with a standard bulk propane tank.
SCHAAKATTACK
Are those dimensions overall outside dim's or inside oven dim's? 12" wide you would have to buy some small pizzas. A relative of mine who has an oven in his fishhouse I know can bake a what I would calla regular size tombstone pizza's and it is awesome for that. I am not sure of the brand or dim's but that is what I would consider if that is your intended use for the oven. Otherwise you may be dissapointed in that aspect of it. Findout the inside dim's and then measure a pizza and or pan of lasagna. When you get one let us all know and you can invite us all out on the ice for lunch(LOL!) hoggs222
Totino's Party pizzas are a delicacy & would fit in there. I'm just sick of eating sandwiches out on the ice, all weekend long!
Phred52
hoggs222, There's a place down around Canterberry by Shakopee that salvages travel/camper trailers. You might wanna give them a try as the stove/oven would be 12v and propane powered. Sorry, I can't give you a name, Its' been MANY years since I did business with them, but, their prices were VERY reasonable. And they have EVERYTHING! Paul Waldowski
Hoggs222,Here's another idea that works like a charm. Cook things ahead of time and then seal them with a food saver or alike product. After that all you need to do is boil it in water on top of a stove or Mr. Heater Cooker. I have done many items this way, including omlettes, lasagna, hotdishes, mash potatoes, gravy, it really can be endless.
