Ice at LOW in early-mid December

I just got the great news that my wife is going to visit her sister in California from Dec 7-Dec 11 (and taking the kid), so I'm trying to plan a fishing trip. Typically here in ND we've got 4-6 inches of ice (foot or some ATV traffic). Any guys from LOW know if there's ANY chance of being on LOW this early? I'd also like to try Red Lake, but know that you've got a go a ways out, and that won't be possible - but maybe LOW. Otherwise, I'll be stuck with Devils Lake for those 4 days (not bad, but it'd be nice to branch out on a rare "free weekend" for me).

Thanks,

Last year we went out at morris point(?) on the main lake in a permanant 16x8 pulled out by the resort with their isuzu vehicle they have.. We were out about 1 1/2 miles with a foot or so of ice on DEC 17th...We were one of the first to be pulled out and we where all alone in the middle of nowhere and the ice was making alot of noise.......Oh by the way we hammered the walleye and sauger well over 100 by 3 guys in two days..COME ON ICE!!!!!!!!!! cool.gif
