KJSnider
Only two that I get are Walleye Insider, and Outdoors Weekly. I like OW for the instate news, and there seems to be a little more emphasis on the St. Cloud area, where it is based out of.Kris

FOOT
Steve & Toad, I agree, that's why I stopped taking the big 3.I enjoyed reading Jack O'Connor, Russell Anabell and Pat McManus. It's too bad we don't have writers like that anymore. Now my favorite is Clancey in Outdoor News.I like it when a writer adds personal experiences and info into their stories. hanson
I agree FOOT. There is something about Gary Clancy that I really like. I think it is the personal touch but he has a way of wording things, or phrasing things, which is definitely unique. I believe Gary admitted backing his boat & outboard into the back window of his wife's minivan. (or something similar) I love it! And I wouldn't admit it, or maybe I would. Here goes... Was backing my snowmobile trailer up alongside the house into the backyard. Now I have a class A license and drove tractor/trailer for a number of summers while attending college. Believe me, I can back up a trailer (snowmobile, boat, or a 53' semi trailer)! Not sure what happened but next thing I new, I heard a clank and a thud. The only thing alongside the house was the gas meter. Put the pieces together and I was truly embarrased. Gas company wasn't too happy coming out when I called them. FOOT
Hanson, I think we've all been there.I backed my rig into my daughters "new" car. I told her if she saved her money and saved at least $2,000 I would match it for a car for her 17th birthday. She did so I did and we bought her a nice little red Pontiac Sunbird with everything. She had it exactly 2 days when I went fishing one morning and did the dirty deed. Cost me another $1200 to get it fixed.First, last and hopefully the only time I back into something with my boat and trailer.I was in Pequot Lakes in the late 70's when I saw a very disturbing site. A little old lady had rammed the back of a trailer sending the boat up and over the trailer and into the rear window of a station wagon. The wagon had Iowa license plates and they were heading North. I am assuming since this was a Saturday morning it was their first day of vacation. The lower unit of the outboard was laying on the ground in a puddle of oil, the trailer was bent every which way and the boat was scrapped pretty bad.The driver of the wagon was standing at the side of his vehicle with his arms on the top and his head burried deep in his arms. The little old lady was talking to the local police with a look of "gosh I don't know what happened".The only good thing was no one got hurt. Heck of a way to start vacation. Animal
I must be out of the loop as I don't take any mags right now. Over the years I subscribed to serveral different titles like In-Fisherman and Outdoor News, but in recent years with the amount of info on the net I've let them all laspe.
