Bobb-O,

My opinion, whether it is the law or not, is to wear it to your stand, in your stand, and while you leave your stand.

I plan on duck hunting some sloughs on public WPA land that weekend that I know there will be deer hunters on. I hope ducks can't see orange cause I'll have some on.

I just can't take that kind of risk with rifle hunters in the woods.

State law requires hunters and trappers (except waterfowl hunters in a blind.) to wear Blaze orange jacket(exludes sleeves and gloves) and hat during any firearms deer season. This applies to any zone or season open to firearms deer hunting. So, if you are hunting or trapping in an area or zone that has an open firearms deer season and you are not in a duck blind you need the blaze. The one that I see that a lot of people don't comply with baze requirement is pheasant hunters during the muzzleloader season. The state sees the muzzleloader season as an option for a firearms deer season a lot of people seem to think of it as some bonus season that has seperate rules and requirements.

Hanson, ive done this for years somtimes for the heck of it!!!!!! geese and ducks are used to seeing deer and small game hunters and often times fly right over a visble orange outline rather than flare or cirlce a poorly hidden camo outline. try it sometime, you just might be suprised!!!!!! smile.gif
