Pheasant Opener a week from Tomorrow!!! :)

Recommended Posts

Heading for SoDak, already getting excited, starting to gather gear and make a pile in the kitchen, got some meat thawing so I can make some jerky, looking over my 'pheasant list' - its going to be great! By this time next week I'll be worthless at work!! And in 2006, the pheasant openers in MN and SoDak will be different again, we'll have two openers!!! smile.gif

We shoot ducks in the AM and hunt pheasant and scout ducks in the PM with maybe a Pm duck or goose shoot. Usually after cleaning birds, and cooking them for dinner, we hit the tavern next door for a nightcap or 12. Tired as heck but I can sleep when I'm dead.

Sounds like you guys are in for some fun!! I will be heading south west to join some guys on some private land. We will probably still hit some WMA's but hopefully we can keep that to a minimum on opening weekend.

Man was it WWIII out there on Saturday in North Dakota for phesant opener. There are a ton of birds this year in N. Dakota. Duck hunting has also been amazing. I filled out on mallards, and widgions on thurs night and on mallards and gadwalls on Friday night. Hunting is great in the Dakotas right now, so to all the best of luck!
