Fall plastics

What do you use?

Bigger bulkier creature baits?

regular texas rigged worms?

Smaller finesse worms?

Also, has anyone had success on those plastic frogs with thumber tails? Like the Sizmics? I have used them, but the fish I have caught have been using it almost like a senko where it sinks slowly....yet to actually catch one on topwater.

Just curious what people use

FishBill-

For me, I go at it like I would any other time of the year. However, in the fall I do have a tendancy that once I find a pattern I will up size my plastics to try and catch more quality fish. Yes, I will give big creature baits a try. However, more times than not I will reach for a jig and pig.

Dont get too crazy going with big baits till you find that its a big bait bite. Unless you are targeting big fish only!

Black/Blue brush hogs are a great lunker bait this time of year. A jig/pig or plastic chunk trailer works great on wood laydowns, but I don't like the way they grab all the dead weeds and drag them into the boat. A large tube bait like the strike king flipping tubes work well this time of year and will also boat smallies if your on a lake with both.
