Bear license

Should have an answer to that later today when my brother gets back to me. Had that same question and a couple others we were looking for answers on. Originally I was just going to go along to help with the gutting, etc but we weren't sure on the legality of having a spectator (me) along since he'll be using a bow but bringing the gun along in case any sort of tracking is needed through the thick stuff. He's an excellent shot, but to expect that everything will always go perfectly....

Mostly it's a case of making sure everything is perfectly legal... I love hunting/fishing way to much to ever knowingly do something that might lose my hunting priveleges... love Theresa and the boys, but I just don't know if I could go on without the twang or bang bang in my life tongue.gif

Neiko,

I didn't hear back from my brother, but I just got off the phone a guy named Lou(?) at the 888MINNDNR phone. Pretty much all my questions went like I expected. The license is valid as soon as you buy it. It was the only question I got put on hold for - said he needed to talk to their bear guru. He was also consulting what he called their "permanent" regulations which sounded like a much expanded version of what they print for all of us. Kind of wonder just what's all in that thing. Cliff Clavin (cheers) might not be my role model, but the Cliff of hunting trivia... well that has potential.
