I will try not to be biased here. This guy has no class, and to say that Waltrip is not a nice race driver. Mikey races as clean as Martin or Rusty. How and why is this jacka$$ still driving. I understand the pressure for maybe the chase guys, but come on.

He seems to always be around the accidents, and if you are always there then you have to be at least some of the problem. We race dirt midifieds and before we go to the track you can almost always write down who the problem will be.besides that, his actions after the crash were nothing short of very bad.If I were Nascar he would be done for a few races and the fine would be very hefty. He needs to be suspended for more than 1 or 2 weeks because the money never seems to affect the drivers.Kahne needs a little talking to also. Why some of these drivers have to be so stupid is beyond me.We always race others as we would want them to race us,but there are still some that are just empty inside the helmut.

I thought it was pretty funny myself. The Kahne incident was humorous too. Such a nice kid and then he blows his top. I think he had a lot of built up anger and it just had to be let out. Quite a way to do it!

Although it's not the image NASCAR wants to convey, you have to admit that it's bringing a ton of publicity to the sport. Face it, the majority of the highlights they show on ESPN are the crashes because that's what a non-NASCAR fan wants to see. This just adds to that. Driver's going beserk perk the interests of those on the fence about NASCAR, and may make them tune in to see what happens next....and that might be enough to finally turn them into a true fan.

No. 15 Chevrolet driver Michael Waltrip, involved in the on-track altercations with Gordon, was fined $10,000 and penalized 25 driver points because of an inappropriate gesture during a televised broadcast, while car owner Teresa Earnhardt was penalized 25 owner points. Waltrip was also in violation of Secton 12-4-A.

I AGREE WITH YOU ROBERTELEE........I DIDN'T SEE WALTRIP DO ANYTHING WRONG..... HE PUT HIS OPEN HAND UP, AND IF I HAD TO GUESS HE WAS PROBABLY SAYING I'M SORRY AT THE SAME TIME! I THINK HE WAS JUST CAUGHT UP IN A MESS WITH THE "(Contact US Regarding This Word)" AND PROBABLY JUST FELL AS PART OF AN EXAMPLE, WHICH IS CRAPPY. DON'T GET ME WRONG MIKEY ISN'T MY FAVORITE DRIVER, BUT COME ON!

When I saw it I thoght he was putting up his hand to block robbies helmet that he thought was coming though the window.I also saw where Jimmy Spencer was calling him a (Contact US Regarding This Word) for being out there. Jimmy also went off on the Busch boy's it was pretty fun I was waiting for Kenny Wallace to pi** his pant's. It does get NASCAR some coverage on T.V. that it would'nt usally get.

I'm sure if you look close you will see what I see.

Mikey sticks his hand around the window net with one

finger fully extended, and the other four fingers only

half extended. Once his hand is past the window net he

extends all fingers into a wave.

Nice try Mikey !!

Made me smile. wink.gif

When ever these things happen, I usually try to look at the situation and what might be said if the positions of the drivers were reversed. For example:

Waltrip "he wrecked me, just plain wrecked me, Nascar needs to park this guy for good"

R. Gordon "Michael got loose and I couldn't get off the gas, didn't mean to wreck him, my fender are too important to want to run into him like that"

Media "why is R. Gordon always involved?"

My take - Waltrip should have lifted. R. Gordon should not have said what he said, and should not have tried to back into Waltrip. I've seen lots of guys throw a helmet - not a real big deal to me.

Go Rusty.
