LX-3 For $239.99!

I just got an ad from Cabela's and they have the LX-3 with the ice transducer for $239.99! So needless to say I picked one up for myself and thought I would pass this along!

I looked on the Cabela's HSOforum, only thing that came up was LX-1 handheld. What store location was this advertised for, were did you get yours?

Wow! that's defineately a good buy, I wonder if they are dropping the price since the LX-5 is coming out. I saw a post of a picture on the ice fishing section of it. I just might have to upgrade, or just keep the lx-3 as a spare or something.

Sorry River-Rat, I was away bow hunting, just got to read your reply. You are right, online they only list the LX-i handheld sonar, but they sell the LX-3, call their number, I ordered mine over the phone after seeing it in the Bargain Hunter insert they put in when they ship you an order. In that catalog the number is 6BH-01-5393...hope that helps!

Has anyone ordered this and recieved it yet? I do not understand the note on the order page. 'This kit includes Flasher, transducer and bracket not as listed.'

Does it have charger and battery?

I called Cabelas and the gal I talked to said that too.When I asked her about it she didn't know what that ment and did some checking.By the time it was said and done she said it was what was in the picture and is the same as what was in the picture in last years book for $399.99. So with that I ordered it, should be here around the 29th.If you don't find out anything before than I'll come back here and let you know what comes.

Yeah so here's the deal...

I got mine and it came with the ice ducer, but it was only the unit, no soft case, battery or charger. SO I called cabela's and asked what was up, considering it has the softcase in the picture I ordered from, and lists that it comes with the case, charger and battery. The woman said I was absolutely right so she sent the softcase, battery and charger in the mail that day, and I should have it soon. So I have the unit and the ducer, waiting on the extras. What I think happened is Cabela's goofed and put the wrong picture with the item and tagged on the last bit of the wrong description, they did not mean to put the "LX3 deluxe Ice package" on sale like this, but someone screwed up, either way I got the deal, so do it yourselves and then just call customer service if you don't get all you want with it...hope that helps!

does the print ad have any item description? I'm hoping that it does, it will make my requesting the whole kit easier. Can you tell me what the description says? The internet description is pretty odd.

This oughta be interesting. I also ordered the thing assuming it was the full ice system. At least I know of one other customer who was able to get the whole thing because of their error.

Hey Bigbart,

Here it goes, it is in the Bargain Hunter catalog, and the description is mainly about the unit, its 1,500 watts of peak to peak power, 2.15" of seperation and so forth. But the part where it begins talking about the whole kit goes like this:

"Integrated digital charger with LCD digital battery status display. Padded 600-denier MarCum soft pack. The MarCum LX-3 Ice-fishing system includes sonar, 20 degree transducer, soft pack and carriage, digital battery gauge and 12-volt battery."

I hope that helps, like I said, I didn't receive everything I saw and read in the ad right away, but when I called and brought it to their customer service's attention they immediately agreed with me, said I should have received those items based on the description and picture in the ad, and sent them to me in the mail right away. Anyway you slice it, this is a sweet deal guys, take advantage!

I ordered mine also - went thru the same conversations that Stubby went thru but then spoke to a product specialist who called the headquarters? in Sidney NE and they said it was the full ice fishing setup (unit, case, charger, battery). Although I wonder what I'll really receive?

This is a little off topic, but my curiousity is killing me, I just sold my old flasher, an FL-8 on hsolist a few days ago, and for a long time the highest bidder was BigBart something...were you trying to pick up my flasher too , or is that just me shooting in the dark?

Either way, I agree it's a sweet deal and I wouldn't wait on it, I have heard that Cabela's often when they get low on a product will put it on sale so they can sell out and then force their competitors to match the price without losing too much on their own, due to the fact they have sold out...just some food for thought...

Yep, that was me!! I was hoping to score it for a song but then I started thinking about Marcums and decided to spend some extra $ so I stopped bidding, although I think you still got a decent price for it. I love hsolist - sold (and bought) a Porsche 911 and a bunch of other items on it over the past couple of years.

Just got my unit today. And like above, it only came with mount, sonar and iceducer. I called customer support and read the description in the bargain bin flyer (you'll get one with your order). After a while on hold, her response was 'sorry, that is a misprint and we no longer carry that model. You can get them at GM, BP (and other stores).' I replied, 'So, I need to return the item and buy it elswhere?'. She then said that the internet should have said something about the misprint as well. Then I pointed out that the description was hard to understand and that both the internet and flyer show the unit with softcase. After a while on hold, she came back and said she'd send me a softcase and 'replacement battery and charger' since they no longer have the original batter, indicator and chargers. I said that was acceptable. So... Be prepared, you may not get exactly what you are expecting or want. But, for me.. I think it's still a great deal.

Hey there to everyone. I just wanted to let everyone know that I just got my lx-3 today also.And as with Kylersk I had the same thing happen to me,word for word.They are sending eveything to me too.

Side note.After reading Kylersk post I have to wonder,we both got our lx-3's today.That UPS person must have a whole brown truck full of these things running around Northern Minnesota.Too bad he has to do it all over again next week.Is it me or am I getting a smile here.

I wonder if they are sending the factory Marcum softpack/charger/gauge/battery setup or something they pieced together? I know that Cabelas carried a Marcum knock-off softpack that doesnt look to be as nice or versatile. anyone received the missing items yet?

I do know, they are NOT sending the factory battery or charger, they are sending a 'replacement'. The softpack i'm not sure of yet.

I have a thought for all that bought this unit like me.I over looked it and I have yet to see any one else mention it too.What part of the whole system is it that everyone is over-looking?Battery,soft case, charger,no no & no. What about the mounting base that the power unit mounts on and battery fits into.I didn't notice til I went marcum's HSOforum and looked at the product page.That's when I notice the missing piece to the puzzle.I have to wonder,does this come with soft case or not.
