Seems kind of early.

The two groups of bachelor bucks appear to have broken up now. I thought that it's a little early but, maybe we are going to have an early fall. I moved the camera now to a different area, its a finger of the woods that extends out around that field and butts up to a swamp. The does are still in the field pretty regularly, so I don't think something is spooking them.

So here are my questions right now:

Should I be nervous that I am not seeing them as much as I have been in the same area?

Now that they appear to be broken up, how long until they start becoming nocturnal?

What can be some other reasons why they haven't been in the same areas as before?

Here are some of the pictures, I finally topped the 1000 pics mark for July, and August.

Chris, try again on your pics. As far as bach groups splitting, I know of at least one buck that had all velvet gone as of the end of last week. Quite a time range though of velvet loss, just as horn droppingl.
