Both Peavy and Clemens pitched complete games last night in the Houston-San Diego game with the Pads coming out on top 2-0.

I think the Twinks just got a preview of what may lie ahead in the first round of the playoffs. Buehrle, Garland and Garcia, 24 innings pitched, 2 runs allowed. Now those are some numbers that add up! Speaking of numbers...

Good pitching will ALWAYS stop bad hitting. What was it combined - 14 runs in 3 games? Neither side really had much to crow about offensively in that series that's for sure.

Gene, that's true, but neither team has been hitting well or scoring a lot of runs in the first place. It was a great series, for those who don't need the long ball and a lot of runs to enjoy the game.

I agree it was a good series and kept my interest despite the low scores. I just kept looking at the 'net and wondering when the Twins were gonna breakout - but it never happened.

Oh well, gotta butter up my chat buddy Windy to get to see if he can get me to my first ever playoff game.
