tashit
Quote:Gents...the LX2 has 1000 watts of power. And I do believe it will sell for $319.00. As I understand it more power equates to better IR. The LX3 has 1500 watts so does the LX3tc. MN, I think this says it right here. With the LX-3 you get the additional power plus the ability to adjust the zoom in the water column. I think the better zoom, added power, and price make the current LX-3 the clear choice over the new colors of the LX-2. Edit: I ordered an LX-3 last week and I'm happy I did. I'm keeping it in the box for now because there's a slim chance I might sell it if I just have to have the LX-5 when it comes out. Whatever I end up with, it's a huge improvement over the Green Box I've been using! Also, I ordered it last Sunday night and it was already at my door on Tuesday! Now that's fast free delivery! CNY Tim
icepike: No money... If I have a knob I'll send it to ya. If I don't have one I'll get you one.. Let me look around the house and I'll get back with you... Your gonna need a super small allen wrench to tighten that knob up with but I found a small set at ACE hardware and put a little lock tite or superglue on the threads when you put the new knob on so it's not an issue anymore... I think the LX-5 is going to be listed at $(Contact US Regarding This Word) that's my feeling. I can't justify myself in ever using an 8 deg. transducer if anything it would be the LX-3TC at $399 and maybe an LX-2 as a kicker for $319... My feeling is that most people will be happy and content just fishing another solid year out of there MarCum LX-3's. But us tech sonar nerds we like the latest and greatest so I'm sure I'll have a couple new products to break down this winter. The blowout price at $300 for a brand new LX-3 (NIB)including shipping is a super steal right now. I agreee with ta[PoorWordUsage] your basically saving $100 off now versus paying an extra $100 later for the LX-3TC and for what??? orange to green? No brainer... The cadillac of all zoom flashers the MarCum LX-3! Tell em ta[PoorWordUsage] he'll take whatever break he can get on a new LX-5 :^)

I think I fall into that category Tim. We'll have to see. With the cost of things in this world right now, I have to make wise decisions on how I spend my money. I absolutely love my LX-3 so that extra $479 may be better spent on gas to go fishing.

CNY Tim
You'll have it here when I have it as far as pics for the LX-5... Finished up our softball playoffs last night for one of the leagues I'm in. Came out on the short end of the stick with a 4-2 loss in the steady rain, conditions were terrible puddles of water on the field and the batters box was a mudhole. Anyhow I will check for that knob when I get home from work today, thanks for the address. I'll keep you posted Joe...Chris - I know this gas price thing is getting worse and worse I know my partner Bigjohnnyice is looking at the LX-5 because he want's the 8/20 deg. versatility and he thinks we should both have the same units for the trap attack, I dont' think it matters I think I'll be fine with any MarCum flasher cause I never had problems with interference. I'll tell ya that red and black bag on the LX-5 is snazzy though...
