Courthouse lakers?

I was wondering if there would be anyway to target the few lake trout that they stock on courthouse lake during the summer? It seems to me that they would be to deep to reach with any lures and you can't use live bait as it is a designated trout lake, so that rules out using a bottom rig with any minnows. Plus you are limited to shore fishing since no inflatables or boats are allowed. Any Ideas would be great. Maybe I should just wait until winter and target them when I can walk on the ice.

Yep, too deep to reach. unless you like casting a mile and trying to feel the slightest bite of all.

If Im right they only put 10 in last year. but all in all they stocked more fish in there than usual. a lot more. but in a lake that size alot dont last long. But yes I think you can cast in to pretty deep water there. The DNR was late putting out last years stocking report. they just updated this month. But you must have already seen that.

also I think these fish are farm raised so any artifical goop like power bait should work.

Maybe try using smelt, or a piece of cut bait? For lack of a better open water method at that particular pond, maybe fish them like you would fish catfish, using lighter line?

The best time to target those fish is when you can walk on water.
