0 New Yankee
Krats, suspect your manual will recomend Champion plugs. Many folks I know prefer NKG as it's their opinion the quality is a bit better.
0 Gus
I've used champions and NGK's in my boat. Never noticed any difference. I change them once a year regardless so I never really wear them out to the point where I could call one better than the other. I usually just buy which ever is in stock in my size. This time it was NGK. I should add that my snowmobiles seem to prefer the NGK's.
0 hondavxr
NGK plugs are of a higher quality than Champions. Most manf. list Champions as the OE plug, thats because Champion practacially gives there plugs away to the manufacturers. If you could get a plug for .25 and the better quality one you would have to pay a dollar for, which one would you pick? Manufacters usually put Champion plugs in there motors, because Champion gives it to them for so cheap. Usually the end users, US, want the best. Go NGK you will be happy with it. 0 Jeremy airjer W
I would also guess that NGK's come factory installed on the Honda and Suzuki's as well.

0 BIG DS
Mercury recommends Champion plugs. NGK will last a bit longer if you don't change them until you need to. Someone mentioned that Champion almost gives their plugs to the manufactures, that is closer to the truth than you think. Champion makes a good majority of the spark plugs on the market today. Including AC Delco, Motorcraft, Harley Davidson, just to name some of the bigger companies.
