Legal deer tags?????

Recommended Posts

I'll have to reread the regs. I know you can take up to 3 deer with an all-season license between archery and firearms, but for example, can you take two does in one season - say archery - and the buck in firearms?

Chucker, you might want to look at the new regs, many of zone 4's units are now moved to zone 2. This means that there is no longer a split season for a good portion of zone 4. You will now get nine days rather than two split seasons! Just FYI!

Hello everyone, This is what the DNR told me last year and what I understand about this year.

Last year: You could by 1 Bow tag, and 1 Rifle/shotgun or Black Power tage. So you could have 2 tags now. Then depending on the area you hunt you could buy 5 intensive harvest tags. So you have 7 tags. However the first two tags only one of them can be used. So if you shot a buck/doe with your bow you can now only shoot a doe and tag it with one of your intensive harvest tags.

This year: This year if you take the same senario has above you can tag a deer on both your bow and gun tag but only one can be a buck and you still can only have a total of 5 deer.

Now this is what I got when I called the DNR last year.
