Deitz - nice to meet you Saturday . Thanks for the tips - it was tough Sunday - only 2 limits brought in - and one of them came from the spot you told me about. We got beat there by someone else - the fish were on the inside and outside weed edges ,zero fish on the docks surprisingly with how sunny it was. We only managed 4 measurable fish all day that weighed 9#, ended up 4th. Thanks again and get those Comidas on the shelf so I can try them .

I was out there on Sunday as well for fun. It was hard for us too. Hey, how did the orange/black colored Ranger do? I saw him the last few hours of the tourny parked on some rocks with a bouy out and they didnt move for a long time.

I have only fished the lake in early June, and Late summer. I have never been there when the weeds have been so bad as they are. It makes it really hard to find any distinct clumps, or edges to find them in when its solid weeds from the inside edge all the way out like it is now. Usually its a little more broken up than it is now.

I hear that - finding an inside edge was nearly impossible - outside wasnt as bad - I fished Rush last week and I have never seen the weeds as bad as they have been this year.

Mr. D do you have any tips for Coon Lake? I'm heading there tonight, and I've just never been able to find a consistent pattern. I've tried the reeds by the beach, almost all the docks just north and west of the beach, the little bay/channel with the lilly pads, and around the cattail on the other side of the lake. I may get one here or there but never consistently.

What is with this curly pond leaf deal? Lake Sara is overran with it and Fish Lake isn't far behind. Then go to Medicine and what weeds. Yeah there are some, but 2 years ago there were milfoil humps over by Joe Hardy.

Thats becasue they spray Medicine now. They started that last year. Personally I liked it when they weeds were there. The post spawn fishing was fantastic in those clumps! Last year there wasnt any other than some coon tail. But the fishing didnt even compare to how it was when those curly leave clumps were around.

Thats OK, I had been there a few times so I tried some spots I thought would be good if they weren't being pressured by 100's of bass boats. I basically had to tell my partner to sit down and shut up because we are fishing where I say tonight. We didn't to real bad considering the huge front on Monday. We fished some docks and some flats and wound up with 5 np and 4 bass although I lost 3 fish 2 bass and one something big out deeper, blush.gif guess I should have had a trailer hook on. One team had 6np and 10 bass they fished the shallow side of the lake.

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
